Nepalese Americans for Biden
Nepalese Americans for Biden (NAFB) is a nationwide volunteer organization dedicated to mobilizing the Nepalese American community all across the nation to ensure Joe Biden’s victory in November. As a grassroots organization, it has formed state chapters by networking with community leaders and advocates who share resources and ideas to help elect Democrats at national and local levels. Although Nepalese Americans are considered a minority community in the United States, we have a very strong presence in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia. We are expanding our organization in various states to make VP Biden our 46th President.
NAFB movement serves as a tool to connect community members to engage in effective networking for equitable use and development of fiscal, human, and material resources to identify opportunities to empower communities of Nepalese origin in each state. Primarily, it aims to be a vehicle for political integration of the Nepalese American community in the nation.
We have backed Biden for his strong stance on policies that support all Americans, including minorities; on various occasions, VP Biden has acknowledged South Asians as the nation’s fastest-growing racial minorities. Interestingly, Democrats hold advantages in party identification among African Americans, Asians, Hispanics, well-educated adults, and Millennials (Pew Study, 2016). According to the internal community survey, 75 percent of Nepali/Bhutanese Americans were Democrats or leaned toward Democrats, making them an Asian-American sub-group most likely to identify with the Democratic Party. In this light, it is important to mobilize hundreds of thousands of Americans of Nepali origin across the nation by helping them to register to vote and motivating them to go out and vote for electing Joe Biden as our next president.
This is a volunteer-run effort organized by the supporters of Nepalese and Bhutanese communities. These properties are not authorized by Joe Biden for President. We partner with the Democratic Party to achieve the common mission.
